A strong spirit of giving is an important part of who we are. Tippet-Richardson believes in supporting communities where our employees live and work.
Sonshine Community Services is a one-year residential facility with counselling and supportive services for women and children fleeing from domestic violence. The Centre provides a safe place for women and children to live during a time of transition. Tippet-Richardson provides in-kind moving services to assist women and children who are moving out of the community to embark on a new life.
Move for Hunger is a non-profit organization with its roots in the United States, and now finding it's way into Canada. Move for Hunger and it's partners in the relocation industry are dedicated to fighting hunger throughout North America. Move for Hunger works with moving companies to pick up unwanted, unopened / non-perishable food items from those who are relocating, and deliver them to local food banks across the country.
Tippet-Richardson has joined the Move for Hunger initiative in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society and the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank. Everyone understands the issue of hunger and this is a simple way to demonstrate how our actions can help address the problem.
From September 2012 to June 2013, Tippet-Richardson is proud to help the University of Victoria celebrate its 50th anniversary of outstanding achievements and accomplishments. The celebrations mark 50 years of students, faculty, staff, alumni, retirees and community members making a difference across the globe.
